Guida al corretto utilizzo delle lenti a contatto - avvertenze, precauzioni e rischi collegati all'uso - L'applicazione e l'uso delle lenti a contatto possono essere eseguite solo quando le condizioni anatomo-funzionali dell'occhio del paziente lo consentono. Esistono infatti alcuni fattori di rischio, rilevabili dallo specialista, che possono risultare responsabili di complicanze o dell'insorgenza di fenomeni di intolleranza. Il medico specialista e l'ottico applicatore della lente sono consapevoli di tali problematiche e solo dopo un accurato esame del soggetto possono consigliare o meno l'uso delle lenti a contatto. Per utilizzare le lenti a contatto in sicurezza è necessario seguire attentamente le istruzioni d'uso per una corretta applicazione, rimozione, pulizia e manutenzione. Al fine di evitare danni agli occhi è importante verificare l'assenza di controindicazioni dal medico oculista e sottoporsi a controlli periodici. Utilizzare lenti a contatto sterili e non oltre il periodo raccomandato. Al termine del periodo di utilizzo raccomandato nella confezione (giornaliero, bisettimanale, mensile, ecc.) le lenti dovranno essere sostituite con un nuovo paio. È necessario rimuovere le lenti e consultare il medico in caso di arrossamenti, bruciori, sensazione di corpo estraneo o eccessiva lacrimazione, vista offuscata o altri disturbi della vista. I farmaci diuretici, antistaminici, decongestionanti, tranquillanti possono provocare secchezza dell'occhio, in tal caso è necessario consultare il medico oculista. Se una sostanza chimica viene a contatto con gli occhi sciacquare immediatamente e recarsi subito dal medico. Evitare l'esposizione a vapori nocivi o lacche per capelli. Utilizzare sempre soluzioni per lenti a contatto non scadute ogni volta che si ripongono le lenti e non usare mai acqua corrente per sciacquarle. Non mettere mai le lenti in bocca per umidificarle. Consultare il medico per le modalità di utilizzo durante le attività sportive. Evitare l'uso di lenti a contatto in occasione di bagni al mare, in piscina e di docce nei luoghi pubblici. Evitare l'uso di saponi contenenti creme, lozioni od oli cosmetici prima di utilizzare le lenti. L'inosservanza delle norme per la corretta utilizzazione delle lenti a contatto può provocare gravi danni all'occhio. Raramente possono verificarsi ulcere corneali responsabili di menomazioni visive. Il rischio di contrarre la cheratite ulcerosa aumenta in caso di inosservanza delle norme di igiene e di uso e in caso di utilizzo delle lenti per un tempo più prolungato rispetto a quello raccomandato. Il rischio di cheratite ulcerosa aumenta notevolmente nei fumatori. Le lenti a contatto con protezione UV non sostituiscono gli occhiali da sole perché non ricoprono totalmente l'intero segmento anteriore. Pertanto, i portatori di lenti a contatto devono continuare a portare gli occhiali da sole in caso di esposizione ai raggi UV. Disinfettare le lenti riponendole nella custodia fornita e riempire con una dose nuova di soluzione. Richiudere con cura ed attendere almeno 6 ore per una completa disinfezione. 3. Risciacquare le lenti accuratamente prima di applicarle e gettare eventuali residui di soluzione, lasciando che la custodia si asciughi all'aria quando non è utilizzato. In caso di conservazione per lunghi periodi, sostituire il liquido ogni 7 giorni. ATTENZIONE: - Sostituire la custodia almeno ogni 3 mesi. - Non usare se il sigillo di chiusura è rotto. - Chiudere la bottiglia accuratamente dopo l'uso. - Non mescolare mai con altri liquidi. - Gettare entro 90 giorni dall'apertura - Non usare oltre la data di scadenza - Tenere fuori dalla portata dei bambini - Consultare immediatamente il vostro oculista in caso di disagio agli occhi, lacrimazione, cambiamenti nella vista, arrossamenti. - Gettare sempre la soluzione residua dalla custodia dopo l'uso - Non far entrare il beccuccio o la soluzione in contatto con superficie non sterile per evitare contaminazioni. - Conservare a temperatura ambiente (15-30 gradi centigradi) e non alla luce diretta del sole. - Non usare insieme ad altre medicazioni se non sotto la supervisione del medico specialista - Seguire sempre le indicazioni del proprio oculista per evitare danni agli occhi.

Fashion Week has just been taking place in all the major fashion capitals of the world and the SS13 catwalks have revealed the biggest trends in fashion and make-up. Lucky for us, the hottest trend right now is big bold eyes! Pink in particular is the colour of the season and Donna Karan showed us how it’s done, with models wearing both pink eye shadow and pink mascara. Bright block colours (the brighter the better!) are no more only used at parties but now also for everyday. Chanel had models wearing block eye shadows in metallic hues, showing us that everyone can be glam on a daily basis. The big Italian fashion house Versace and other brands such as 3.1 Phillip Lim and Diane von Furstenberg showed us a more grungy look with smoky golden eyes together with soft to heavy black khol liner on the lower lash line. The best thing about the grungy look is that you can leave your mascara a little clumped (saving you loads of time!) and you will be right on trend! To spice up this already great make-up trend, why not try some coloured contact lenses.
